March 2024 Boumans by the Danube

 Dear friends,

We have a short and sweet update with a built-in request for you today.
Will you take a minute and think about whether you might know a young adult (roughly 20-30 years old) who might be interested and gifted for a year of ministry and community in Europe next year? We are thrilled with the direction of our new and developing program, Cohort Europe, and this year’s five participants are all actively engaged in ministry in Berlin, Budapest, and Klaipeda through June this year. Together they are welcoming the stranger, leading worship, teaching English, learning German (among other languages!), participating in Bible studies, mentoring university students, sharing the gospel, and growing a next generation of Kingdom citizens.

And now we are actively recruiting for next year’s participants.

This coming Sunday, March 3, we are hosting an informal Zoom for anyone with interest in the program. On Sunday, March 3, at 2pm EST, (8pm Central European time), we will have a brief presentation about the program’s logistics and calendar, as well as some of this year’s current participants to answer any questions that interested people might have.

Anyone is welcome on the call, whether for more information to share with others, or for yourselves. You can
sign up to receive the invitation here.
For more information about the program
you will find a link here with general information about Cohort Europe.
Thank you for any recommendations you can make, and thank you for your on-going prayers and
financial support.

Two notes of special prayer in addition – please pray for Julie’s mom, Joyce Weiser, who lives in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, near Julie’s sister. She is having surgery today, February 27, as part of her recovery after a minor stroke in early February - we appreciate your prayers for our mom. And pray for this year’s participants in Cohort Europe, for Ivan, Maria, Juliana, Sean and Ashley – as each discerns their next steps in ministry, study, work, or other callings.

Thank you, friends.
Peace to you.
Jeff and Julie Bouman
